The deck and new addition

This is what it started out looking like..................

Here is where it is at now.................

As you can see the siding is going up and the deck is almost complete. Mr. Fixit is waiting on our window delivery so he can get the window installed that will go next to the door. We are also waiting on the screen door to arrive.

This turned out to be a much bigger project than we originally thought. Mr. Fixit wound up having to completely re-build the foundation and tear off the entire back wall. There was much more to it than that, but you get the idea.

Mr. Fixit at work

Here is Mr. Fixit himself working on leveling the spot where the pool is going to be installed.

The new roof on the addition

Mr. Fixit installed a new roof on the addition. After much research on the possibilities for flat roofs he chose Firestone EPDM. It came out great and has survived it's first thunderstorm.

The View

No, not the TV show, the view from our house. Quite a few people have been asking, so for your viewing pleasure.......

What a busy month!!

There will be several posts today to catch up on the last month. The weather has been better and more conducive to being outside so we have not spent much time indoors.

Mr. Fixit has been working like crazy and has not had much time to spend working online. (Sorry Cat!!) I am just amazed by him and all he is capable of doing. I have said it before and I will say it again, he is the hardest worker I have ever met.

Mini Me turned 9 on the 19Th of May. He is growing like a weed too. I think I only have a couple more years of being taller than him.

For his birthday my best friend from high school gave him a horse! This is Shadow. He is 4 years old and very sweet.

Mr. Fixit and I decided that Shadow would need a buddy so we are getting Gypsy too. Gypsy will be 1 year old at the end of June.

I will post updated pictures soon. Shadow and Gypsy will be delivered some time in late June or early July.

That gives us yet another project.....Building fences!
